Film Analysis - The Watermelon Woman

In my pursuit of Film & Video Studies, I have done several film analyses. This essay is a research essay from a course entitled 90's Independent Cinema. In it I explore the intersections of identity present in The Watermelon Woman (Dunye, 1996), as well as the way the pseudo-documentarian format of the film enhances the exploration of film and history for members of marginalized communities.
